Schools Reopen As Smog Precautions in Full Swing
The Punjab government has directed all public schools to adopt precautionary measures under the Pre-Smog Action Plan 2026. This initiative, aligned with provincial environmental authorities, covers July to September 2026.
Schools must restrict outdoor activities to minimize students’ exposure to polluted air. Administrations are also tasked with monitoring the Air Quality Index (AQI) before approving any outdoor exercises or physical training.
