ISLAMABAD: The Punjab government has hired a Jewish company in order to conduct research on a coronavirus vaccine, according to the sources.
According to details, the research would be on chloroquine and a high-dose chloroquine drug to treat coronavirus patients for a speedy recovery.
Sources have claimed that the decision has been formally approved by Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar. Well-known public and private doctors have also been included in it.
Sources further claimed that the provincial medical research institutes will support the Jewish company in the formation of the coronavirus vaccine.
According to sources, the Israeli medical company is being funded by the Jews. However, Pakistan has not recognized Israel yet.
On the other hand, sources have claimed that coronavirus patients in the quarantine centres in Punjab have been informed that the Punjab government is going to conduct research on them regarding the coronavirus vaccine.
“The patients have been apprised that the research would be of chloroquine and high-dose chloroquine drug,” sources added.
The coronavirus vaccine in Pakistan was developed by Dow University Karachi but due to inevitable reasons all the doctors and scientists’ names have been concealed.
According to details, doctors and scientists have been directed not to talk to anyone regarding vaccines and interviews.
Many people on social media have raised questions over this report, however, the Punjab government has not commented on the accusations yet.
