ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has rejected proposal, floated by some quarters, of an interim-technocratic set up to govern the country, and has announced to resist the same with full forcxe.

Talking to media, Senior leader PTI Fawad Chaudhry said his party would oppose any attempt to impose a technocrat government in the country. He said that attempts were being made to form an interim government with a limited programme and a fixed lifespan from six months to two-and-a-half years instead of holding general elections.

Criticizing present government, Fawad Chaudhry said the federal cabinet ‘visits Pakistan’ occasionally, and opts to remain abroad generally. He alleged that members of the present government had no interest in state affairs, except for seeking and accomplishing NRO-2.

He said Speaker National Assembly ‘ran away’ when PTI MNAs decided to appear in person and verify their resignations, adding that party members would now meet Raja Pervaiz Ashraf tomorrow morning for the same purpose.
