KARACHI Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA in Sindh Assembly Raza Azhar had written a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan to construct a flyover on Korangi Crossing under then Karachi Transformation Plan.
While thanking the prime minister over the Karachi Package, the provincial lawmaker drew attention towards the need for a bridge on the Main Korangi Road.
He said the road needs a bridge between Qayumabad and Korangi Crossing as the area gets submerged every year due to the rainwater as water flow from every part of the city towards the Arabian Sea.
He said lack of a bridge also leads to the loss of several innocent lives including during the recent heavy downpours in the city. Therefore, he urged the prime minister to approve the new bridge from Qayumabad to Korangi Crossing.
In recent months, the Korangi Causeway has been closed several times for vehicular traffic due to heavy rainfall.
