ISLAMABAD: In the wake of PTI’s announcement of a long march toward the federal capital on May 25, Islamabad police’s all kinds of leaves except emergency have been banned from May 22 till further order.
A notification was issued in this connection by the DIG headquarters with the approval of Inspector General(IG) Islamabad police on Sunday night.
” All kinds of leaves except emergency are banned ( including station leave on gazetted holidays from 22 May 2022 till further orders”, the notification read.
The notification has urged all concerned to strictly follow the orders.
It should be noted that PTI’s Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday announced that a long march against the government would be started on May 25, and an indefinite sit-in in the federal capital would also be started on the same date.
On the other hand, the government has hinted that the long march would be stopped by all legal means.
