LAHORE: A sensational development has emerged in the murder case of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Chaudhry Abdullah Tahir.

According to police sources, the murder was allegedly carried out over a grudge related to a sand contract in Narowal.

Police sources claimed that US-based suspect Zaman Kogi Butt had allegedly forbidden Abdullah Tahir from obtaining the sand contract. Despite the alleged prohibition, Tahir secured the contract in Narowal, which led to the fatal attack.

Police sources further said that a red warrant is being issued for the arrest of the US-based accused, Zaman Kogi Butt. He will be arrested from abroad as soon as the red warrant is issued.

According to police, the accused has allegedly been involved in around 20 murder cases in the past.

On the other hand, police stated that the hired shooters who opened fire on Abdullah Tahir have not yet been arrested. However, investigators claim they have reached close to the shooters and an arrest is expected soon.
