PESHAWAR: Tehreek-e-Insaf party has been accused of causing a loss worth Rs 1.30 million to the provincial treasury during its tenure from 2018 to 2022.
The case was referred to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The Information Department has written a letter to the FIA in which it has been said that the PTI government has caused a loss of Rs 1.30 million to the provincial treasury in the form of advertisements with the connivance of the Information Department.
In the letter sent to the FIA, it is said that the alleged corruption of crores involved private companies, bank managers, and officers of the Information Department while the money was given to unrelated persons.

In the information department’s letter, the officials said that after requesting the records from the concerned director, he did not provide the records while the records of the payments have also disappeared. The matter should be investigated.
It should be noted that the series of arrests of Tehreek-e-Insaaf leaders could not be stopped till now. Former Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been arrested again after being released.
