On Monday, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) began on a strong footing, buoyed by positive momentum from Friday’s session and improved regional sentiment following the recent Pakistan–Afghanistan ceasefire. The benchmark KSE-100 index gained 1,171.42 points, or 0.72%, to close at 162,803.16 points on Monday.

Meanwhile, the Pakistani rupee showed slight appreciation against the US dollar, strengthening by 0.08% during early trading on Tuesday. By 10 a.m., the local currency was quoted at Rs280.67, marking a modest gain of Re0.23 against the greenback in the inter-bank market.
