PSX building attack: COAS pays tribute to martyred security guards

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has paid tribute to the security guards of Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), who sacrifice their lives trying to thwart the terrorist attack.
Director-General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) took to Twitter and said, “Appreciating Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) for their operational readiness, COAS lauded prompt, effective and integrated response of Pakistan Rangers and Sindh police, eliminating terrorists in shortest possible time.”
COAS Bajwa further said, “With the support of our resilient nation, we will foil all efforts of enemies aimed at destabilizing the hard earned peace achieved through sacrifices of our martyrs.”

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan has also condemned the terrorist attack on the Pakistan Stock Exchange building in Karachi.
In a statement, the prime minister said members of the law enforcement agencies courageously took on the terrorists and foiled their bid. He said the entire nation is proud of the valiant personnel of the security agencies.
Earlier today (Monday), security forces killed four terrorists who attempted to storm the Pakistan Stock Exchange compound in Karachi.

According to details, one sub-inspector and three security guards were martyred in the attack. Seven people, including three police officials, have been injured, the statement said.
