LAHORE: The proposed schedule of the two-match Test series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka has been revealed.
According to sources, the Test series could be held between July 16 and 28, while the matches are likely to be held in Colombo and Galle.
The Test series between the two teams will be part of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Test Championship, while sources said that the Sri Lankan Board will announce the final schedule of the series in the next few days.
The reports also stated that Sri Lankan Cricket had proposed to include ODI matches in the tour ahead of the World Cup and there were initial talks between the two boards in this regard, but due to unavoidable reasons, the white ball was rejected. The series could not be finalized.

On the other hand, due to the World Cup 2023 scheduled in India, the Pakistan cricket team’s young fast bowler Shaheen Afridi can be rested in the series against Sri Lanka under the rotation policy.
Shaheen Afridi is representing Nottinghamshire in England’s T20 Blast League, he has taken 13 wickets in 9 matches.
