KARACHI: The Sindh Assembly secretariat has issued production orders of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) members Sindh Assembly Faryal Talpur in the money laundering case.
Faryal Talpur submitted a petition to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) to attend the provincial assembly meeting. According to the production orders issued, Talpur will attend the Sindh Assembly session on 13th September.
The money laundering case refers to the embezzlement of Rs4.4 billion. NAB has accused Talpur of owning shares of the Zardari Group, a company that received some of the embezzled funds.
Talpur was arrested on 14th June in the money laundering case. Earlier, on 5th Sept, an accountability court had extended the judicial remand of Faryal Talpur till 19th September in Thatta Water Supply scheme case.
