KARACHI: Private Schools Action Committee has announced to reopen private educational institutes across Sindh from 15th August.
The Private Schools Action Committee also issued a 31-point SOPs on reopening private schools. Its committee head in this regard said that almost every activity has been resumed across the country, however, educational institutions have not been opened. “Private schools can no longer be closed,” he asserted.
Earlier, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government had also announced the opening of all public and private educational institutions from next month. As per the KP Information Adviser Kamran Bangash, all schools, colleges, universities, and madrassas in the province will reopen from 15th September.

He said that it was decided at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet meeting that SOPs related to coronavirus would be implemented in educational institutions. It may be recalled that the All Pakistan Private Schools Associations had announced the opening of educational institutions from 15th August. However, the federal government had earlier declared to reopen schools from September.
Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood had earlier said that suggestions have been sent to the National Command and Control Center and the government would also hold further consultations on educational institutions. He said that SOPs related to educational institutions would be reviewed. “We will reconsider the decision to open educational institutions in the first and third weeks of August,” he maintained.
