ISLAMABAD: President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan have condemned the blast that took place inside a mosque in Quetta on Friday.
Both the leaders prayed for the martyrs, and patience for the affected families. The president also prayed for the early recovery of the injured.
“The nation is united against these filthy conspiracies,” Arif Alvi added.
A blast in a mosque in Satellite Town claimed 15 lives including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) on Friday. More than 19 people were injured in the incident. The nature of the blast is being ascertained.
The injured and the deceased were shifted to Quetta’s Civil Hospital while an emergency was imposed in all hospitals of the city.
Another blast took place in Quetta recently three days ago on Mikanki Road that killed two while injuring 14 people.
Bomb disposal squad (BDS) and security personnel combed through the mosque and its surrounding vicinity for evidence and the area was cordoned off.
