President Alvi visits quarantine center at Taxila

President Alvi urges Ulema to advise nation to stay indoors

ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi paid a visit to quarantine center at the University of Technology, Taxila and inspected health facilities for the patients of coronavirus infection.

According to a press statement, during the visit, First Lady Begum Samina Alvi and government officials were also accompanied with the president.

President Alvi reviewed health facilities for the patients and also visited the control room and inquired from the medical staff about the issues regarding health in the center.

On this occasion, the district administration briefed that the facility. They said that the facility has capacity to accommodate more than 600 patients and all the necessary measures had been taken for the proper care and treatment of patients.

The officials told that the doctors and medical staff deputed at the quarantine center have also been given protective gear.
The president expressed his satisfaction over the available health facilities at the facility and urged for effective care of the infected people during their stay.
