ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued alert for the new spell of rainfall the most parts of the country from Wednesday to Saturday.
Pakistan Meteorological Department on Tuesday predicted that the new spell of rain can also influence Pakistan Super League (PSL-5) matches scheduled this week.
PMD forecasted that western winds will enter Pakistan on Wednesday afternoon. According to the PMD report, under the influence of new spell of rain, many areas of Punjab, Peshawar and other parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa could receive the rainfall.
The Met office has further predicted more rainfall in the upcoming during the month of March will be expected. Heavy rainfall can occur in areas including Islamabad, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Attock, Chakwal, Gujranwala, and Sargodha.
Besides, Gujrat, Hafizabad and Narowal will also receive heavy rain. In addition, rainfall is likely in Khushab, Mianwali, Jhang, Bhakka and Toba Tek Singh. Apart from that, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Mansehra and Abbottabad, Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsada, Swabi, and Kohat will receive heavy rain.
Rainfall in Quetta, Zhob, Multan, Ziarat, Sahiwal, Okara, Bahawalpur, Rahimyar Khan, and Sukkur was also expected. While dry winds will be blowing all over the Sindh including Karachi, PMD report said.
