ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair the federal cabinet meeting today to discuss a 4-point agenda via video conference.
During the meeting, the prime minister will discuss overall political, economic and security-related situations amid coronavirus outbreak across the country.
The cabinet during the meeting will be briefed about steps taken against the spread of coronavirus in the country. Cabinet will approve the decisions of ECC taken two days ago.
Imran Khan earlier directed the concerned authorities to constitute a special committee comprising federal and provincial authorities to ensure availability of essential commodities across Pakistan.
The decision came during a high-level meeting in Islamabad yesterday to review the measures taken in industry and commerce, energy and to provide relief to poor segments of society amid coronavirus outbreak.
He highlighted the government’s resolve to take all possible steps to provide relief to people and every sector of the economy and asserted that the government institutions need to play a vibrant role in this crisis.
