Coronavirus cases reach 1,848 in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: The number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan has reached 1,848 after more cases were report from different parts of the country on Tuesday.
As per details, the number of coronavirus cases in Punjab 651, 627  in Sindh, 217  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), 154 Balochistan, 142 Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), 51 in Islamabad, six in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
 According to the national dashboard, the number of patients recovered from the disease stands at 57, while, 23 Pakistanis lost their lives and 121 remain critical in different hospitals.
District South of the Sindh capital Karachi was affected most by the coronavirus as at least 56 patients tested positive for COVID-19. Most of the cases were reported in Civil Line area of the district.
Another coronavirus patient passed away in Karachi on Monday night, taking the toll to eight in Sindh, 23 in Pakistan. Provincial Minister for Health Dr Azra Pechuho said that 63-year-old woman died from the coronavirus in the metropolis.
Citing the details, the minister said the deceased woman was suffering from asthma and other diseases as well. The woman returned from Saudi Arabia 10 days ago, adding that it was the eighth death in the province due to corona virus.
