ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has warned the provincial governments and the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) about unverified kits for the testing of the novel coronavirus.
In a tweet, Fawad Chaudhry while warning about the kits wrote that if these kits cleared any infected patient by terming it negative then we could only imagine the worst as that patient would unintentionally affect several others too.

He further said that as long as the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) could confirm its own kits in Pakistan, the authorities were allowed to import but only certified kits.
Earlier on Monday, the federal minister said that the ministry was considering crucial measures to curb the coronavirus outbreak in the country. Two key initiatives to curb outbreaks were in the final phase for approval.
It may be noted that the 20 people have died due to Covid-19 in Pakistan and 1,717 infected due to the diseases and are under treatment in different hospitals across the country.
