ISLAMABAD: Leading columnist and senior journalist Ansar Abbasi has claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan has been harmed by the stalemate in the appointment of DG ISI Lieutenant General Nadeem Anjum while the current DG, Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed on November 19. It is the decision of the prime minister to remain in office till.

According to details, Ansar Abbasi in his recent column said that the army had formally announced on October 6 the appointment of a new DG, ISI, who was to assume responsibility by October 24, but the Prime Minister G. decided to retain Lt. Gen. Faiz Hameed until November 19.

The well-known columnist said that he could not understand how the prime minister benefited from it, adding that PM Khan suffered the most from making the matter controversial and suspending it for a few weeks. “Relations with the military were strained. Mutual trust is not what it used to be. After the prime minister, the outgoing DG, General Faiz Hameed, was the most affected,” he said.
