KARACHI: The Supreme Court has issued a written verdict in the Nasla Tower case directing that modern equipment be used to demolish the building.
According to the details, the Supreme Court has issued a written decision in the Nasla Tower case in which it was said that the method of demolishing buildings all over the world should be taken into consideration. Other neighboring countries, including India, should be inspected and ensured that the race tower is not damaged by the demolition.
The written decision of the Supreme Court said that the demolition of Nasla Tower should be completed in 7 days after October 27 and the cost of demolition of the building should be recovered from the owner of Nasla Tower. Progress will be announced at the next hearing.
It is to be noted that earlier the Cabinet Division started seeing the problem of the residents of Nasla Tower. Following the Supreme Court’s order to bomb Nasla Tower, the Standing Committee on Cabinet Division decided to write a letter to the Supreme Court to review the decision.
A meeting of the Standing Committee on Cabinet Division was held under the chairmanship of Senator Rana Maqbool yesterday. Addressing the meeting, the chairman said that it was not the fault of the residents of Nasla Tower but action should be taken against those responsible.
