ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will pay a one-day visit to the United Arab Emirates today.
A high-level delegation including important cabinet ministers will also go along with the prime minister. During the visit, he is expected to meet the President of the United Arab Emirates and the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
The two leaders will discuss bilateral relations between Pakistan and UAE with special focus on trade and investment.
PM Shehbaz Sharif is also likely to meet with other Emirati personalities, businessmen, and heads of financial institutions.
Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have long-standing fraternal ties rooted in religious and cultural affinity.
The prime minister’s visit is an important step towards deepening multifaceted bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and UAE.
Earlier on Wednesday, PM Shehbaz Sharif attended the memorial ceremony of late Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and his colleagues who died in a tragic helicopter accident on May 19.
