ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and opposition leader Raja Riaz will hold a second meeting today to consult on the appointment of a caretaker prime minister.
Opposition leader Raja Riaz’s meeting with PM Shehbaz Sharif ended inconclusively yesterday, the meeting is likely to continue for one to two more days.
Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, who is among the three names before opposition leader Raja Riaz, met with the prime minister. The political situation was discussed in detail in the meeting between the two leaders.
PM Shehbaz Sharif has said that the constitution gives us a three-day grace period, and he hopes to resolve the issue before that.
On the other hand, Nawaz Sharif has returned to London after spending more than a month and a half in UAE and Saudi Arabia, during which he also visited three European countries.
