ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan raised significant points as he met United States President Donald Trump.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Donald Trump assured visiting Pakistan soon also underscored the relationship with Pakistan.
During a formal meeting with the prime minister, Donald Trump said that Imran Khan was his friend and he was happy to meet him again. This is the third meeting between the two leaders since Imran Khan visited Washington last year.
Donald Trump again offered to play a role regarding Indian occupied Kashmir issue, saying he had been closely monitoring the situation in IoK.
Moreover, while addressing the Pakistan Strategy Dialogue in Davos, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Pakistan would not become part of any conflict or war in the future as we have suffered in the war against terrorism.
Imran Khan said, “Due to the war in Afghanistan, Pakistan inherited Kalashnikov and drug culture.”
He highlighted the positive side of Pakistan, We believe Pakistan can collect a lot of revenue through tourism, he explained. When we assumed power, the biggest problem was the current account deficit, said Imran Khan.
Imran Khan began his three-day official trip to Switzerland on Tuesday on the invitation of Founder and Chairman of World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwabe. The prime minister is set to deliver a keynote at the session.
