MIRPUR: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday visited hospitals of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) where he was briefed about the relief activities in the earthquake-hit areas.
AJK Premier Raja Farooq Haider briefed the prime minister on the losses as well as rescue, relief and rehabilitation measures taken by the AJK officials.
Earlier, a meeting chaired by the prime minister was briefed about the deaths and damages caused by the earthquake in Azad Kashmir. The meeting was also informed about the relief measures and the strategy for rehabilitation of quake victims.

AJK Premier Raja Farooq Haider, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Minister for Kashmir Affairs Ali Amin Gandapur, and the Chairman National Disaster Management Authority attended the briefing.
The prime minister also visited the divisional headquarters hospital to inquire after the health of some of the survivors being treated there. During his visit, he expressed his grief over the losses caused by the earthquake.
Prime Minister Imran Khan said a package is being prepared for the rehabilitation of earthquake affected people of Azad Kashmir. He assured to take immediate and every possible step for the quake victims.
He said he wanted to visit the quake-affected areas at the earliest but he faced delay in his return from the US, and that he shares and feel the pain of the quake victims.
