PM Imran orders to expedite measures to contain coronavirus outbreak

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered to expedite all emergency measures to contain the coronavirus outbreak in Pakistan. 
Chairing a meeting of National Coordination Committee ((NCC) today (Monday) on the Coronavirus, PM Imran decided to hold more deliberations on Sindh’s proposal of closing interprovincial borders.
On the occasion, PM Imran said, “All decisions taken in NSC meeting have to be implemented without exception,” adding that the nation needs to be updated and informed regarding the coronavirus on a daily basis.
PM Imran further said that the people of Pakistan need to get educated on the deadly coronavirus if we have to counter speculation and fake news.
Prime Minister also announced that he will soon address the nation in regard to coronavirus, adding that we have to fight the virus and we should not be scared by it.
PM Imran also urged the people to act responsibly in this tough situation and said, “Every person will have to act responsibly in the days ahead.”
The meeting was attended by Minister for Religious Affairs Noor-ul-Haq Qadri, Interior Minister Ijaz Shah, Adviser on Finance Hafeez Sheikh, and Special Assistant on National Health Services Dr. Zafar Mirza.
Special Assistant on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant for Overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari and others also attended the meeting.
Chief Ministers of all provinces attended the meeting through video and briefed Prime Minister Imran Khan over the measures taken by the provincial government to curb the outbreak of coronavirus.
