ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has once again recommended the people of Pakistan to watch another Turkish drama Yunus Emre for all those who are interested in Sufism.
Taking to Twitter, the Prime Minister wrote, “I strongly recommend the serial Yunus Emre being shown on PTV for all those who are interested in Sufism (Marayfat).”

The show, based on the life of an Islamic poet, has been retitled as Raah-e-Ishq in Urdu for the Pakistani audience. It orbits around the life of Yunus Emre, the 13th century Anatolian Sufi poet, who greatly influenced Anatolian culture.
Earlier, PTI senator Faisal Javed Khan said that another Mehmet Bozdağ directorial, Yunus Emre will be aired soon on state-run TV. He further shared some insight about the drama. “Yunus Emre (the Dervish) was an Islamic poet, a mystic & a poor villager,” he said.
The premier earlier recommended Diriliş: Ertuğrul, which broke several records in Pakistan. PTV obtained the broadcast rights of the drama from the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT).
