PKR Steady as Open Market Dollar Stabilizes at Rs278, Fresh Rates Emerge

KARACHI: Fresh foreign exchange rates have been released in Pakistan’s currency market, with the US dollar being bought at Rs278.00 and sold at Rs278.10 in the open market.

According to the latest forex rates, the British pound’s selling rate stood at Rs372.45, while the euro’s selling rate was recorded at Rs319.10 in the open market.

The Saudi riyal was being bought at Rs73.95 and sold at Rs74.50, while the UAE dirham was being bought at Rs75.65 and sold at Rs76.40.

The Canadian dollar was being bought at Rs193.93 and sold at Rs199.25, whereas the Australian dollar was being bought at Rs191.65 and sold at Rs198.76.

The Chinese yuan was being bought at Rs38.30 and sold at Rs38.92, while the Japanese yen was being bought at Rs1.7342 and sold at Rs1.8339.

Interbank Dollar Rate
In the interbank market, the US dollar’s bank buying rate stood at Rs276.95, while its bank selling rate was recorded at Rs277.45.

The euro was quoted at Rs309.24 for buying and Rs309.80 for selling in the interbank market.

Meanwhile, the British pound’s bank buying rate stood at Rs365.42, while its bank selling rate was recorded at Rs366.08.

The Saudi riyal was quoted at Rs73.77 for buying and Rs73.90 for selling, while the UAE dirham’s buying and selling rates were recorded at Rs75.65 and Rs76.40, respectively.
