People protest over low gas pressure in Quetta
QUETTA: A large number of people staged a protest demonstration against low gas pressure on Friday as the crisis worsened with the spike in the ongoing cold wave across the country. 
People in Quetta protested at the Airport Road against the low gas pressure across the city demanding a proper gas supply to meet family household  needs and to protect themselves in extreme weather.

The protesters stated that they have been facing hardships in the biting cold because of low gas pressure in their areas particularly near the airport road and Almon Chowk.
According to report, an unexpected drop in temperature throughout the country has deepened the ongoing gas crisis as the whole shortfall surged to 600 million metric cubic feet a day (MMCFD) that may additionally force the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) to curtail the supply to sectors different than home consumers.

While the trouble gas shortage, low gas pressure and load shedding have hit most components of the country with an increase in demand of the commodity owing to the bloodless prerequisites as people have cranked up heaters to stave off cold.
