ISLAMABAD: The ruling Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) parties under the leadership of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman will stage a dharna against the Supreme Court today.
According to the details, the PDM parties are in agreement on the sit-in against the Supreme Court, but they could not agree on the exact location of the sit-in. The protest will be outside the Supreme Court or the red zone, but there is a difference of opinion among the leaders of the PDM parties.
Recently, the Supreme Court took the wrath of the ruling alliance by ordering the release of Chairman PTI Imran Khan. Instead of welcoming the court’s decision, the PDM parties have announced a sit-in.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam said that PDM’s dharna will be held outside the Supreme Court, however, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif sent a message to Maulana Fazlur Rehman to change the location of the protest. Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and Ishaq Dar assured that the dharna would remain peaceful.

It should be noted that the workers of all the political parties have left from all over the country to participate in the PDM convoy. Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that we invited all political parties to participate in the sit-in. PML-N will be led by Maryam Nawaz.
