Pakistan’s young mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters Muhammad Saqib and Muhammad Jawad have secured places in the finals of the GAMMA Asian MMA Championship 2026 after delivering impressive performances against athletes from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
The second GAMMA Asian MMA Championships 2026 are being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from July 28 to August 2, bringing together some of Asia’s top amateur youth and senior fighters competing for continental honors.
Muhammad Saqib advanced to the Under-18 final after defeating strong opponents during the earlier rounds of the tournament. He will now face a fighter from Kazakhstan in the gold medal bout.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Jawad also booked his place in the final of the Under-16 category and will compete against a Kazakh opponent for the championship title.
The Pakistani fighters showcased exceptional technical ability, confidence, and fighting spirit throughout the competition, overcoming tough challenges from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Saqib, who is already the gold medalist of the GAMMA World MMA Championship 2024, has earned several international achievements for Pakistan and remains one of the country’s promising young MMA talents.
Pakistan is now aiming for a strong finish at the continental championship, with both fighters hoping to bring home gold medals.
