Pakistan’s textile exports hit $17.93 billion in FY26

Pakistan’s textile exports recorded a marginal increase of 0.26% during July–June 2025-26, rising to $17.93 billion compared with $17.88 billion in the previous fiscal year, according to provisional data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

Readymade garment exports increased by 3.87% to $4.288 billion from $4.13 billion a year earlier. Cotton yarn exports also showed strong performance, rising 12.40% to $765 million from $680.7 million.

Exports of other textile materials grew by 8.67% to $790.86 million, while raw cotton exports witnessed a significant increase of 199.20%, reaching $2.6 million compared with $0.871 million in the corresponding period.

However, several major textile categories experienced declines. Knitwear exports dropped 0.88% to $4.966 billion, while bedwear exports remained almost unchanged at $3.112 billion. Towel exports declined 1.93% to $1.06 billion, and cotton cloth exports fell 7.55% to $1.672 billion.

On a year-on-year basis, textile exports declined sharply by 16.71% in June 2026, falling to $1.267 billion from $1.521 billion in June 2025.

Pakistan’s overall exports during July–June 2025-26 stood at $30.139 billion, down 5.93% from $32.040 billion last year. Meanwhile, imports increased by 8.14% to $69.761 billion, pushing the annual trade deficit to $39.622 billion.
