Pakistan imported mobile phones worth $644.6 million during the first four months of the current fiscal year, marking a substantial increase of 53.18 per cent compared to the same period last year, official data shows.
According to the documents, Pakistan imported $420 million worth of mobile phones during July–October last year, while imports for the corresponding period this year have risen sharply.
Monthly figures reveal that in October 2025, Pakistan imported mobile phones worth $144.6 million.
In September, imports peaked at $199.5 million, while in August the import volume stood at $155.2 million.
In July 2025, mobile phone imports amounted to $145.3 million.
The steady rise in imports reflects strong demand for smartphones in the country, driven by rising connectivity needs, digital services expansion, and consumer trends shifting toward frequent device upgrades.
