Pakistan will control COVID-19 crisis soon: Chinese Ambassador

ISLAMABAD: China’s ambassador to Pakistan, Yao Jing, has expressed hope that Pakistan will soon control the COVID-19 outbreak.
In his message for the citizens of Pakistan during Ramadan, Yao Jing wished the people of the country on the holy occasion. He further said that the entire country is fighting against the novel COVID-19 in this challenging time.
Ambassador Yao Jing said China is Pakistan’s close friend and steadfast colleague and Islamabad had also extended great support to China during the coronavirus epidemic.
He appreciated the relief package announced by the government for the people and business community of the country.
Yao Jing underscored that the two countries are all-weather strategic partners and have preserved the finer tradition of standing by each other through thick and thin.
He also thanked the prime minister for Pakistan’s support to China and underlined that the Chinese government and leadership remains firmly committed to supporting Pakistan in combating COVID-19.
The ambassador also paid rich tribute to the efforts of the government, doctors and paramedical staff in the fight against COVID-19.
He expressed belief that under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the government and the people will control the coronavirus crisis immediately.
