Pakistan has appointed Sahibzada Farhan as the captain of the national T20 team for the Asian Games 2026, according to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The PCB announced a 15-member squad for the event, with Abdul Samad named as vice-captain.
Men’s T20 International matches at the Asian Games 2026 will begin on September 24 in Aichi, Japan, while the medal matches are scheduled for October 3.
The PCB stated that 30-year-old Sahibzada Farhan, who has represented Pakistan in 46 T20 Internationals and scored 1,305 runs—including two centuries and 10 half-centuries—will lead the side.
Young players Akif Javed, Ali Raza, Muaz Sadaqat, and Saad Masood are also set to make their T20I debuts for Pakistan.
The squad will also participate in a white-ball training camp starting June 15 in Lahore, where 14 of the 15 selected players will be present.
