ISLAMABAD: The number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan has risen to alarming levels after the severity of Omicron, 4286 new cases were recorded in the country and 4 people died.
According to the data released by the National Command and Operations Center on Saturday morning, 4286 cases have been registered in Pakistan in a single day with four deaths in the last 24 hours.
According to the NCOC, the total number of deaths after four new deaths has now risen to 29,003, while the number of victims has risen to 13,20120 after the addition of 4,286 new cases.
In the last 24 hours, 52,522 tests were conducted across Pakistan while the proportion of positive cases increased to 8.16 percent.

Yesterday 2598 patients have recovered from this virus after which the total number of recoveries has reached 1263005 while the total number of active cases in the country has been recorded as 28112.
So far 497153 people in Sindh, 451408 in Punjab, 182100 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 110597 in Islamabad, 33684 in Balochistan, 34739 in Azad Kashmir, and 10439 in Gilgit-Baltistan have been infected with the coronavirus.
Besides, 13,087 people have lost their lives in Punjab so far, 7,693 in Sindh, 5,953 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 968 in Islamabad, 749 in Azad Kashmir, 367 in Balochistan, and 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
