KARACHI: The coronavirus cases in Pakistan are now above 271,000, while the death toll stands at 5,787.
Pakistan has confirmed 24 deaths in a single day by the coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 271,887. As per the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 1,487 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours.
As many as 236,596 patients have recovered from the disease, while the country is still witnessing a consistent rise in the COVID-19 cases.
Moreover, a 103-year-old man has recovered from Covid-19 in a makeshift hospital in Pakistan. Aziz Abdul Alim, a resident of a village in the mountainous northern district of Chitral, was released last week from an emergency response centre after testing positive earlier this month.
