ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has reported 694 new coronavirus cases and six deaths during the past 24 hours bring the number of confirmed infections in the country to 310,275 and fatalities to 6,457.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 694 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours.
Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
Till now 135,766 COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 99,128 in Punjab, 37,617 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 16,440 in Islamabad, 15,013 in Balochistan, 2,649 in Azad Kashmir and 3,662 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Besides, 2,486 patients have lost their lives to the epidemic in Sindh, 2,230 in Punjab, 1,259 in KP, 145 in Balochistan, 181 in Islamabad, 85 in GB and 71 in Azad Kashmir.
Pakistan has so far conducted 3,420,654 COVID-19 tests and 36,468 during the last 24 hours. 295,613 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 584 patients are in critical condition in different hospitals.
The global epidemic of coronavirus has infected 33,055,037 people in the world and 998,721 people have lost their lives.

India ranks second among the countries affected by the coronavirus, with more than 5,990,581 people affected and a total death toll of 94,534. Brazil is the third most affected country by the coronavirus, with more than 4,718,115 patients and 141,441 deaths.
