Pakistan reports 637 new cases of Coronavirus, 9 deaths

Islamabad: In Pakistan, 637 new cases of Corona have been reported while 9 more people have died of the virus in the last 24 hours.

According to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), a total of 1,278,751 people were infected with the deadly virus across the country. While 28,575 people lost their lives.

Moreover, during the last 24 hours, 48,882 tests were performed for the diagnosis of the virus, bringing the total number of tests to 21,280,406. Across the country, the coronavirus test results were 1.30%, while the number of critical cases was 1,156.

However, 316 people defeated the virus across the country in a day, bringing the total number of recovering people to 12,26,906.

The worst affected province was Punjab, where 441,493 people fell victim to the virus and 12,962 died. In Sindh, 472,925 cases were reported and 7,599 deaths occurred.

Furthermore, In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a total of 178,846 people fell victim to COVID-19 and 5,782 died. In Balochistan, 33,368 cases of the virus and 358 deaths due to COVID-19 were reported.

Meanwhile, in Azad Kashmir, 34,498 people were infected with the virus and 741 died. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 10,398 cases of the virus were reported and 186 civilians lost their lives. In Islamabad, 1,72,223 cases and 947 deaths were reported.
