ISLAMABAD: A total of 3,019 new cases of coronavirus have been reported across the country while 44 more people have died due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
According to figures released by the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), a total of 1,480,592 people were infected with coronavirus across the country, while 29,731 people lost their lives to the virus.
In the last 24 hours, 56,260 tests were performed for the diagnosis of coronavirus, bringing the total number of tests to 25.696 million. The nationwide test result was 5.36 percent while 1,640 patients were in intensive care for the virus.

In the last 24 hours, 5,175 people have beaten coronavirus across the country, bringing the total number of healthy people to 1,370,693. The active cases of the virus are 80,168 while the death rate remains at 2 percent.
The highest number of coronavirus cases were reported in Sindh while deaths were reported in Punjab. In Punjab, 494,238 people fell victim to the virus while 13,335 died. In Sindh, 556,772 cases and 7,971 deaths were reported from coronavirus.
In different cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 28,817 people fell victim to coronavirus while 6,103 died. In Balochistan, 35,017 cases of the virus were reported while 371 civilians lost their lives.
In Azad Kashmir, 41,740 people were infected with coronavirus and 766 died. In Gilgit-Baltistan, 11,116 cases and 189 deaths were reported. In Islamabad, 132,892 people were infected with coronavirus and 996 died.
