On the occasion, Prime Minister Imran Khan directed the concerned authorities to simplify the NOC procedure and approval process for provision of new electricity connections.

“Presently, there is no shortage of electricity in the country and hence, there is no justification of delay in the provision of a new connection,” he said, adding that the government aimed to provide shelter to people, therefore facilities and simple procedures should be ensured.

The Prime Minister also made it clear that since the current procedure is creating difficulties for the construction sector, the long process of approvals for utility connections must be simplified.

PM Imran further directed that no additional burden should be put on those, who intend to get a loan on easy installments for the construction of their homes under Naya Pakistan Housing Scheme.

The PM also advised the FBR chairman to formulate a set of facilities for overseas Pakistani who looks forward to investing in the home country. “Overseas Pakistanis are our priceless asset, and directed FBR head to remove impediments in their investments,” he added.
