ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Munir Akram called on United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in New York and presented him Pakistan’s dossier containing “irrefutable evidence” of India’s sponsorship of terrorism in the country.

During the meeting that took place at the UN Headquarters in New York, the envoy briefed the UN Secretary-General about the Indian involvement in terrorist activities in Pakistan. Ambassador Akram apprised the UN chief that India is involved in orchestrating terrorist attacks in Pakistan and urged him to take note of this.

Later while addressing a virtual news conference, Ambassador Munir Akram said India is involved in sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan and in the region and wants to paralyse Pakistan’s economy.

He said the UN Security Council’s team is also investigating Indian terrorism in Pakistan, which is an open violation of the United Nation charter and international laws. Munir Akram said Pakistan’s dossier of Indian terrorism will also be handed over to the member countries of UN Security Council.

He said India is continuously involved in ceasefire violations along the Line of Control and Pakistan reserves the right to defence itself against any kind of Indian aggression. The ambassador said India is also consistently involved in sabotaging the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) which has a pivotal role in Pakistan’s development.

Yesterday, The Foreign Office said the Indian government has escalated its anti-Pakistan campaign after Islamabad made public a dossier containing “irrefutable proof” of Indian sponsorship of terrorism in the country.

The foreign office spokesman was responding to media queries regarding the reported briefing to a group of foreign envoys at the Indian Ministry of External Affairs on the so-called attempted terrorist attack in Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The Indian government has escalated its anti-Pakistan campaign, marked by false narratives, concocted evidence, and orchestration of false flag operations said a statement by the foreign office.

The spokesman said this has escalated after Pakistan presented a dossier containing irrefutable evidence of India’s active planning, promoting, aiding, abetting, financing and execution of terrorist activities in Pakistan,

The purported briefing by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs is yet another attempt to mischievously implicate Pakistan in some alleged planned attack in occupied Kashmir.

The spokesman said the completely baseless and unsubstantiated Indian allegations are nothing but a reflection of desperate efforts on India’s part to salvage its false terrorism narrative against Pakistan and to divert international attention from its state-terrorism in occupied Kashmir and against Pakistan.

He said Pakistan has been consistently sensitizing the international community regarding the possibility of India undertaking a false flag operation with the intention to implicate Pakistan and jeopardise regional peace and security He said Pakistan will continue exposing India and not let the world community be misled by Indian propaganda.
