ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to keep the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel (HSD) unchanged for August 11, providing no further change in fuel rates for consumers.
According to the latest notification, petrol will continue to be sold at Rs327.62 per litre, while the price of high-speed diesel will remain at Rs380.86 per litre. The decision means motorists and other fuel consumers will continue to pay the existing rates at petrol stations.
The decision comes after recent adjustments in petroleum prices. The government had reduced petrol and HSD prices shortly before the latest decision, bringing petrol down to Rs327.62 per litre and high-speed diesel to Rs380.86 per litre.
With the latest rates being retained, there will be no increase or decrease in the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel for August 11.
The government’s decision follows the latest review of petroleum prices and comes amid continued fluctuations in international oil markets. Any future change in domestic fuel prices will depend on developments in global oil prices and the government’s pricing mechanism.
