ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Hammad Azhar has expressed that some circles are propagating baseless information about negative voting in the FATF meeting.
In a tweet on Saturday, Hammad Azhar wrote that FATF, Financial Action Task Force has acknowledged Pakistan’s high-level political commitment and significant progress.

The minister added in another tweet that countries mentioned in the fake news are not even members of FATF. “Pakistan enjoys broad international support and cooperation on FATF,” he further wrote.
Unfortunately, some circles are propagating false and baseless information about abstention or negative voting in the meeting.

Earlier, Hammad Azhar had expressed satisfaction over the report that Pakistan’s industry is leading the economic revival despite coronavirus shock. He said that cement, Automobiles, LSM, exports, construction, fertiliser, and other sectors showed robust growth.
