ISLAMABAD: The government of Pakistan has offered condolences and expressed deep grief on the demise of former President of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe.
The deceased former president played a distinguished role in the history of his country and the African continent.
According to a press release issued by the foreign office, Pakistan has offered sincere condolences to the bereaved family and to the people of Zimbabwe.
According to Media of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe is expected to be buried in Harare next Sunday.
It is to be noted here that the former President played an important role in strengthening bilateral ties between Pakistan and Zimbabwe. He will be remembered for his passionate advocacy for a rightful role for Africa and his legacy for Zimbabwe.
Robert Mugabe was the first heralded as a liberator who rid the former British colony of white minority rule, Mugabe used repression and fear to hold on to power in Zimbabwe until he was finally ousted by his previously loyal military generals.
