ISLAMABAD: Pakistan today (Sunday) has strongly condemned unabated state-terrorism and extra-judicial killings of innocent Kashmiris in fake encounters and so-called search operations in Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir (IIOK).
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office, over three hundred Kashmiris, including women and children, have been martyred by the Indian occupation forces during the last year.
Earlier on October 11, four more young Kashmiris were martyred in Kulgam and Pulwama districts in IIOJK. A 14-year old boy was seriously injured in the illegal and inhuman military crackdown.
While condemning the killings of innocent Kashmiris, the Foreign Office spokesperson said, “India must realise that use of brutal force against the Kashmiri people, including extra-judicial killings, incarceration of Kashmiri leadership and youth, use of pellet guns, and other methods of subjugation have failed in the past and will not succeed in the future.”
The Foreign office called upon the international community, including the United Nations, human rights organizations, and the global media, to take full cognizance of the consistently aggravating situation in the IoK.
It also called for holding India accountable for the egregious human rights violations and war crimes in the occupied territory.
The spokesperson also urged the world community to work for peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and wishes of the Kashmiri people for durable peace.
