In a landmark development under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), a Chinese company has exported donkey meat from Pakistan to China for the first time.
The first food shipment produced in the Gwadar Free Zone has successfully arrived at Tianjin Port, opening a new chapter in Pakistan’s food exports and highlighting the growing role of Gwadar in regional trade and industrial development.
According to the Chinese company, the beef shipment is a milestone in Pakistan–China trade cooperation and also represents an important step forward in industrial development and foreign direct investment under CPEC Phase Two.
The company said that this is the first food product manufactured in the Gwadar Free Zone to be exported to China through Gwadar Port.
The company said that this historic achievement would not have been possible without the cooperation and encouragement of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Ministry of National Food Security, the Prime Minister’s Office, and the Ministry of Planning.
