Pakistan and Turkey have always stood by each other: Turkish First Lady

ISLAMABAD: Turkish First Lady Emine Erdogan on Friday said that Pakistan and Turkey have always stood by each other.
Emine Erdogan addressed a ceremony in Islamabad where she distributed sewing machines among girls suffering from thalassemia.
Pakistan’s First Lady Samina Alvi, Managing Director of Pakistan Baitul Maal Aon Abbas Bappi and Chairperson Ehsaas Programme Dr. Sania Nishtar were also present during the ceremony. 
While addressing, the Turkish First Lady said that her country and Pakistan were connected by centuries-old religious and cultural bonds.
She said that Turkey has always remained at the forefront in public and social welfare projects of Pakistan and no society could make progress without empowering women.
Emine Erdogan is currently staying in Islamabad along with her husband, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who is on a two-day visit official visit to Pakistan. He will co-chair a Pakistan-Turkey Business and Investment Forum with Prime Minister Imran Khan today.
The 6th Session of the Pakistan-Turkey High-Level Cooperation Forum will be held today where the first session will be on investment opportunities in the country. The second session will highlight Turkish companies’ investment experience in Pakistan. 
Turkish President arrived in Islamabad yesterday on a two-day visit. He addressed a joint session of Parliament House in Islamabad where he said that he was thankful for the opportunity to address the session. He is accompanied by around 60 Turkish businessmen and investors.
