Islamabad: The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, held a telephone conversation with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif today to discuss recent developments in the Middle East.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the call provided both leaders the opportunity to express satisfaction with the current trajectory of Pakistan-Qatar relations.
During the discussion, the two leaders also exchanged views on the latest developments in the region.
Prime Minister Sharif praised Qatar’s active role in regional negotiations and mediation and acknowledged the country’s meaningful efforts to reduce tensions.
The Prime Minister emphasised that Pakistan will continue to play a constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability.
Both leaders also agreed to maintain close contact moving forward
