TEHRAN: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Tehran, where both sides discussed the ongoing diplomatic efforts between the United States and Iran.
According to details, the meeting focused on recent developments in US–Iran negotiations as well as broader regional security issues. Sources said both sides exchanged views on the evolving situation and its impact on stability in the region.
During the meeting, Naqvi handed over a special letter addressed to Iran’s leadership, reaffirming continued diplomatic engagement between Islamabad and Tehran.
Pakistan has played a mediating role between Tehran and Washington since February, as regional tensions have intensified following recent military confrontations.
Earlier, Naqvi also met Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Mo’meni, where he conveyed a message from Pakistan’s top leadership to Iran’s Supreme Leader amid the ongoing situation.
He said he had brought a letter and message from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, expressing hope for a peaceful resolution of the crisis.
Both sides agreed to maintain close communication on regional developments and matters of mutual concern.
