ISLAMABAD: Foreign Ministers of Pakistan and Iran had a telephone contact when foreign minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian agreed to restore bilateral relations.
According to the details, the foreign ministers agreed to reduce the ongoing tension and mutual tension between the two countries and to take confidence-building measures.
During the telephone conversation, there was a detailed discussion of Pakistan-Iran relations. Both the foreign ministers agreed to solve the main problems and challenges faced by the parties through a joint strategy.
According to some media reports, the two foreign ministers also agreed to restore mutual diplomatic relations, while other countries in the region are also emphasizing reducing tension between Pakistan and Iran.
In the context of Pakistan-Iran tension, the Foreign Minister of Turkey also called the caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and expressed goodwill while discussing Pakistan-Iran issues.
Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani informed the Turkish counterpart about Pakistan’s approach and current affairs and said that Pakistan has targeted the terrorists with Operation Marg Bar Samachar.
